Louise House Arts Centre and Theatre
by Teresa Howard
I am trying to set up an arts centre in Forest Hill in a wonderful
old building, called Louise House, which has been listed by English
Heritage. Lewisham Council had decided to demolish the building to
use the land for the Forest Hill Swimming Pool Development but
English Heritage saved the building and now the Council are at a loss
to know what to do with it. I have already had one meeting with
Lewisham and they seemed to be very excited by my idea.
I have set up a blog at: http://louisehouse.blogspot.com/ to mark
the progress of the project. My latest blog is about the Mayor’s
Fund, which I am hoping will fund a feasibility study of the Vision
for the Arts Centre. All details about the meeting are at the blog
spot. If you are interested to know more why not sign in to be one
of the blog spot followers which will enable you to leave messages
and chat on the site.
