As you may know the Friends Bicentenary Exhibition will take place in April this year.
Will you be able to help us make the Exhibition even more successful than previous years?!
We need volunteers for the following:
Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 April – this is submission weekend when artists bring their work to the Gallery.
We need teams of two people to record the details of the artists and their works, and to take payment on these days.
Starting at 11am on each day we’ll work in shifts of two hours: 11am – 1pm; 1pm – 3pm; 3pm – 5pm.
Please let me know which of these shifts you can do. In previous years people have teamed up with someone whom they know, and with whom they can work under pressure for two hours!
Good Friday April 22 to Sunday 8 May – when the Exhibition is open. We will need help in looking after the sales/information desk in the Exhibition. It will have to be staffed for Gallery opening times and on the same basis as the Friends’ desk – 10am to 1.30pm and 1.30pm to 5pm on weekdays; 11am to 2pm and 2pm to 5pm on weekends and BHs. The work will involve giving out catalogues, answering visitors’ queries, and hopefully, selling the works!
I look forward to hearing from you. Please pass this request to friends (and Friends) who may be interested in helping.
