Dear artist
As some of you may know, I have bought a gallery in Hither Green, South London. After some renovations and refurbishment Cooper Locke Gallery will be opening on Hither Green Lane in April/May 2010.
The gallery will be a working studio, a showroom and have couches for a reading area and sell coffee and cake. Although there is wall space for some larger works, the emphasis will be on small and medium size prints and originals, craft and gifts, jewellery, sculpture and greeting cards. The gallery will also sell through a website that is under development. As the gallery building develops I will be sending regular updates via email.
I am inviting artists to submit expressions of interest. Work will be sold on commission and a draft agreement is under development. Please note that options dealing with the transport of work for artists living outside London will be addressed in this document.
The founding mission/ethics of the gallery will be to support artists living in the UK only, however future plans may look towards hosting occasional exchange exhibitions with other countries, thereby offering UK artists the opportunity to show their work overseas.
For now I am interested in hearing from you, if you would be interested in this opportunity and seeing examples of your work.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Regards
Carre Cooper Locke

Oh now, this is interesting! I live just round the corner and saw lampwork by Madeline Bunyan in the window. I know her from various forums. (I’m also a lampworker – still a newbie but I plan to sell in the future).
Hi, Here are some of my paintings.
